Khartar Gachchh Sangh, Jaipur initiated Jain unity


Jaipur, the Pink city has created history in Jain unity on July 14, Sunday when both Digambar and Shwetambar Jain saints delivered joint speeches at Badi Choupad. Shwetambar Jain (Khartar Gachchh) saints PP Mahopadhyay Lalitprabh Sagar Ji, Chandraprabh Sagar Ji, Shantipriya Sagar Ji Maharaj and Digambar Jain saint PP Tarunsagar Ji Maharaj had a joint Chaturmas Pravesh. Few other monks and nuns also participated in the event.

It was a rainy day and Jaipur was facing heavy rainfall. 3 inches of rainfall recorded in that afternoon. Rain stopped at around 5.15 and PP Mahopadhyay Lalitprabh Sagar Ji et al started from Mahavira Swami Swetambar Jain temple (Multan Mandir) where as PP Tarunsagar Ji  started from Baradia colony simultaneously. Both met at Ramniwas garden where from procession started. There was a large crowd waiting at every corner of the road to join historic procession.

Chaturmas entrance procession moved through New gate, Choura Rasta, Tripolia and reached to Badi Choupad where a large crowd of devotees were waiting to listen these three great orator Jain saints. They wanted to be witness of the historic event of Jain Unity.

Mahendrajit Singh Malaviya, Panchayati Raj Minister was walking all along with the procession. He delivered his speech to welcome all saints from Rajasthan government. Renowned play back singer Ravindra Jain was singing devotional songs to welcome Jain unity. However, public was eager to listen the Jain monks.

Shwetambar Jain (Khartar Gachh) monk PP Chandraprabh Sagar started speaking and told about the historic event. He urge everyone to take this unity with a positive mindset and to ignore all small differences. Digambar Jain Muni Tarunsagar Ji maharaj told that this is like BJP and Congress are united. Shwetambar Jain nuns (Tapagachh) PP Narendra Sri Ji MS were also present.

N K Sethi, President, Mahendra Surana, Secretary and Manak Kala, convener, Tarunsagar Chaturmas Samiti: Manak Chand Golechha, President and Jyoti Kothari, Secretary, Sri Jain Shwetambar Khartar Gachchh Sangh, Jaipur were standing behind all these saints.

The procession moved through Johari Bazar and entered into Gheewalon Ka Rasta where Tapagachh nuns entered into their Chaturmas place Atmanand Sabha Bhavan.  PP Mahopadhyay Lalitprabh Sgar Ji et al proceeded from there for Darshan at Sri Suparshvanath Swami temple and then to Shivjiram Bhavan.

Muni Chandraprabh Sagar addressed the audience at Vichakshan Bhavan opp to Shivjiram Bhavan. He told that they have come to awake the people regardless of cast, creed and religion. Jyoti Kothari informed that they are getting support from all corners and blessings from various Jain monks and nuns (all sects). He told that he is overwhelmed with this support and blessings and urge everyone to act to spread the message of Jain unity.

He informed that there would be joint Pravachan of these three great orator Jain saints at SMS Investment ground, Rambagh circle, Jaipur from July 21 to September 1, 8.45 AM to 10.15 AM. All are invited.
